Didsbury Court, the second of Ark Care Homes Ltd’s Residential Homes for the Elderly was acquired in 2013. It is a beautiful 16-bedded Victorian residence, registered to provide care to the over 65’s, dementia and infirm. Didsbury Court is managed by Sharon Mewis, along with her team of dedicated staff. Didsbury Court welcomes Day Care residents.

Didsbury Court is a large, detached Victorian house standing in its own private grounds with 16 elegant and spacious, single en-suite rooms. It also boasts a double en-suite room and one single en-suite bedroom with its own living room. All residents are encouraged to bring their own possessions to personalise their room and add to their comfort. Didsbury Court has its own spacious lounge, separate dining room, conservatory and private garden alongside paved outside areas, giving easy access and enough seating for all residents to take in the balmy days of ‘Devon’s Riviera’ should they wish.
Didsbury Court has recently undergone substantial refurbishment and redecoration throughout, achieving an exceptional level of warmth and quality befitting the high standard of accommodation. The home has full central heating and has a lift for easy access to all floors.
Social interaction and entertainment are highly valued at Didsbury Court, and range from lively bingo games to flower arranging, music and singalongs to cake and cookie decorating, quizzes and games to jigsaws puzzles, arts and crafts to outings – there is always something going on. Skype is also available for everyone, so contact with loved ones is always possible. There is a small library on site, supported by the local library service who visit weekly so that books can be changed on a regular basis (large print and talking tapes also available).
The popular pedestrian shopping precinct at St. Marychurch including a Post Office, Banks, Medical Centre, Optician and the beautiful local Churches are all close by, making Didsbury Court the ideal ‘Home from Home’.
Didsbury Court works very closely with the resident’s families GP’s, District Nursing team, Social Workers, chiropody, dentist, opticians, physiotherapists and all other professionals involved in a client’s care.
